PROJECT DESCRIPTION:

This project comprises a large-scale Olympic Park regeneration project and Phase I of this development aims to deliver approximately 270 new homes

SDS Limited was appointed by Corbyn Construction to design pre-cast vertical elements (columns, shear walls andwall panels) aimed at saving costs and accelerating the program. The client’s design engineers were initially opposed to any design alterations, however after explaining the benefits of the proposal, SDS obtained approval for the scheme. This project involved very close collaborations with a large engineering consultancy in the UK and presented challenges arising out of client/architectural design evolutions that required careful consideration. The overall value of the finished scheme is estimated to be approximately £64,000,000.
