| CROMLECH CLOSE SOCIAL HOUSING DEVELOPMENT

Cromlech Close is a social housing development for Dun Laoghaire-Rathdown County Council consisting of 15 apartments and terraced houses on a corner site close to the main Kilternan – Dundrum road.
SDS provided design and details for :

  • all structural elements including
  • raft foundations,
  • padstones,
  • base plates,
  • ground floor,
  • first floor,
  • roof,
  • roof trusses and bracing,
  • balconies, and
  • retaining walls.
  • civil engineering elements, such as
  • the attenuation tank,
  • valve & hydrant chambers,
  • drainage,
  • road gullies,
  • manholes,
  • paving, and
  • footpaths
    Specifications were prepared for concrete, earthworks,
    plastering, steelwork, timber and siteworks.

Block A – Residential/Retail building 1,380 sq m.
This block is a 3-storey building which has 7 residential units on the first floor and 8 small retail units on the ground floor.
At each end of the building is a single storey apartment with balcony and above the central retail units there are 6 duplex apartments, each with a roof garden.
It was constructed using traditional insulated cavity, masonry walls with a structural frame of in-situ reinforced concrete and precast hollowcore floors and roof.

| THE HARLEQUINS RESIDENTIAL

This is a private gated development of five houses which were constructed on raft foundations on engineered fill material in Sandy Lane Bushey, Watford UK.

| COIS MEG MOR
A development of seven exclusive, architecturally-designed, bespoke detached houses on a seafront close to Galway city which included an on site wastewater treatment system with percolation area and associated site works .
