PROJECT DESCRIPTION:

The construction of a two-storey licenced retail store close to the shoreline of Dublin Bay offered a unique challenge with regards to foundation design. The store’s foundations were constructed on soft sands. The store was constructed in 28 weeks.

SDS design engineers & architects developed a prototype precast concrete store in London. The aim was to reduce the construction time by at least 20% but also to maintain the visual appearance of the store. The SDS team completed the brief successfully.
